NAMC has made it a priority to have the most up to date technology available for diagnosing and treatment of the pets in our care. Some of the available technology at NAMC includes:
       
COMPLETE IN-HOUSE LABORATORY- this gives us the ability to perform complete stat  blood chemistries, CBC's , urinalysis, cultures and fecal analysis to detect intestinal parasites. We also utilize several reference labs for specialty tests.

DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHY (XRAY) - We utilize digital radiography for both physical and dental radiographs. Digital radiographs can then be viewed on any computer in the clinic as well as being able to send radiographs to specialists for review. Digital radiographs allow us to manipulate the radiographs more effectively to get the best results in much less time.

ULTRASOUND - The ultrasound sends out sound waves as a picture. Most body parts can be observed through ultrasound because of today's increasing technology. Besides helping to diagnose pregnancy, which most of us are familiar with, ultrasound allows the doctor to examine many organs of the body.

An ECHO ultrasound is used to exam the heart of the patient. This picture allows doctors to monitor how the heart beats, and watch the valves. If a valve isn't closing properly, it will show up on an ECHO text. Sometimes problems that couldn't be detected by listening to the heart can be found through a simple ECHO exam.

Other organs in the body can be examined the same way. The stomach can be examined, even if it is not for a pregnancy. This procedure is great advantage because it is painless, and there is no surgery involved. Our doctors can now see into many parts of the body without having to perform surgery.
